Statia:
your paradise island with pristine waters
The coastline of Sint Eustatius consists of impressive, steep cliffs with magnificent views of the ocean and a number of beautifully hidden bays.
Take a dip in the crystal-clear waters that surround this paradise and enjoy the perfect tranquility around you, because it may just be that you will have the spot to yourself.
Find peace and space on this dreamy island
Statia is your escape from mass tourism. It is a delightful mix of culture, nature, peace and space. So, get out and start exploring. Along the way, if you happen to come across a “spot” on the bay that appeals to you, just stop and take a cooling dip in the crystal clear water. It is therapeutic and will sooth aching bodies and quiet churning minds.
Snorkeling
Are you lying on the beach wanting to do something different? Then grab your snorkels. Snorkeling is very popular here and for good reason: the old city wall that protected Sint Eustatius in the 17th century has been taken over by the sea so you can snorkel along this submerged wall which stretches for hundreds of meters. Weave your way through remnants of warehouses, and around clay pipes, pottery and the endless species of fish that hide among these relics. And do you know what else is really nice? The fact that you will be snorkeling with very few other people – there are no crowds. This offers the undisturbed opportunity for pure enjoyment of the beauty around you.
